Wow. Such g force. Much speed. Wow.
First time ever in a 'real' kart. Some guy actually drove up onto my kart, ran over my leg and broke my steering rack clean off its mounts. Then I got put into a kart that was slower, handled worse and appeared to have absolutely no brakes at all. Which was nice. Those electric karts haul some ass through corners.

There's a place in Cincinnati that has 270cc four stroke engines. Indoors I was getting up to 35mph on bumpy, slick concrete. It's a rush.

It's a rush! These karts can supposedly do 40, and when you're that low to the ground the sensation of speed is incredible.

It's absolute fun. I kept getting flagged to slow down because I was having too much fun getting some oppo through the fastest corners. There's an even bigger track opening in Columbus soon. I'm quite excited.

There's a K1 right next to my work, and I've probably driven there ~10 times. Never stops being fun.
It's one thing to go fast in a go cart, but the electric engines are insane. The thing pulls like a gt-r.

There's a K1 speed being built pretty close to where I live but it isn't open yet! It seems like a really nice place, they say the karts are some of the best available. And did they guy that ran over your kart get penalized or anything?

I don't think so. They pretty much make you sign a waiver saying you cannot sue them if you get hurt.
It did break their kart though. I don't know how the hell he ran on top of me like that.

Yeah I imagine it was probably a pretty hard impact if it got him in the air enough to land on your kart, and then break both of them. That could've ended worse, glad you're ok.

We're lucky to have an excellent indoor electric go kart facility here in Halifax, NS. It can get a bit cold in there in the winter but what a blast. A bit pricey for students like me but well worth the investment.
for the interested.
